Hailing from the city by the bay, Jordan Herren is a contemporary artist who has been gaining steady momentum since 2012. The San Francisco native has displayed his artwork at local galleries such as a.Muse Gallery and 111 Minna Gallery. Herren has also installed his work at businesses around the Bay Area, from South First Billiards in San Jose to Cookiebar in Alameda, as well as San Francisco’s own, Philz Coffee.
While completing his bachelor’s degree in marketing at San Francisco State University, Herren discovered his passion for painting. Many of his works pay homage to the Bay Area, re-imagining vivid cityscapes and celebrating local sports teams. Other abstract works also possess elements of boldness and vibrancy, expressing a heightened sense of energy.
In 2014, Herren presented his first solo exhibition “City of Champions”, which gained recognition in visual arts from SF Gate. Since then, his work has been featured in showrooms by Roche Bobois, an international-leading furniture distributor, and has expanded into merchandising. He continues to reside in the Bay Area.
